# Commit

> Stage and commit changes in Commit+.

Use `Cmd+Shift+C` or the **Commit** toolbar button to open the commit sheet.

## Staging

* Select files and use the stage/unstage actions.
* Use the row-level stage and unstage quick actions.
* Stage hunks or individual lines from the diff view.

## Committing

1. Stage the files you want to include.
2. Write your commit message.
3. Press `Cmd+Enter` or click **Commit**.

Undo a commit with `Cmd+Z`. Commit+ rewrites the branch pointer back to the previous HEAD.

## Planned drag workflow

Dragging files between working copy, staged files, and stash targets is part of the broader drag-and-drop direction. For now, use the explicit stage, unstage, hunk, and line controls.
